Welcome to Woodland Class.
Woodland class is a provision for children with special educational needs. We have a small group of children with two adults to supply the support which the children require. We focus on the needs of the children and we are highly adaptable. We use a mixture of outside learning and shorter lessons to enable the children to achieve a degree of learning that us suitable to them. Although we are not a nurture group we provide a more nurturing environment than within a larger class.
Summer Term 2:
The Summer is here! Well the summer term is and we will have a great term doing trips and spending time doing outside learning. Our topic for the first two weeks is America, we are starting by learning about the Native Americans and then will learn about the Inuit people. We will then move forward and learn about the end of the wild west period. Finally moving onto the last 50 years of modern America. Our second topic will be summer holidays, where we will learn about different places around the world and also our local area. Finally we will be doing work on our mental health and transition work for the children leaving us at the end of this year.
I will post pictures on here and also on Class Dojo of some of the exciting things that we have done.
